Legacy Land Development Group is a family owned company with some of the same ownership as Zane Helsel Excavating. Zane Helsel started building homes in 1994 for his own 70 lot sub-division. With his knowledge and expertise, we have formed this company to continue his vision, building quality homes for hardworking people, who are proud of the area they live in. We have built one of these townhomes in his development off of Puzzletown Road and found that there was a need in this area for these types of homes. It all began with just a backhoe and a single axle dump truck in 1956. At that time, Zane Helsel focused mainly on services for residential customers and utility companies. In the 1970s, our team added services in site development and the energy sector. Zane Helsel Excavating was then incorporated in 1990.

In 2005, a new era began for the company when the second generation became the new owners of the business. In the present, and in the future Zane Helsel Excavating strives to provide innovative approaches to excavating.
